THE PORTAL UNDER THE STARS

A Dungeon Crawl Classics Level 0 Funnel

Seeking wealth and escape from their peasant lives,
a handful of townsfolk investigate a supernatural portal
that appears only once every half-century when
the stars are aligned just right. The portal leads to the burial tomb
of a war-wizard of eons past. The townsfolk must fight iron men,
a demonic snake, the living dead, and a variety of strange
statues to recover the treasures left by the war-wizard.

The Portal Under the Stars is a Level 0 Funnel. Each player will start with 4 level 0 characters. These characters will be farmers, beggars, and peasants of various types. With nothing more than the clothes on their backs and whatever they have on hand to serve as a weapon most of these characters will be simple fodder for the dungeon. Only those strong enough, or lucky enough will survive to find treasure and gain the experience needed to travel outside of their paltry hovels.
